Challenge — Travers Tool Company is a privately-held, middle market distributor of metalworking tools and industrial supplies. The company is based in Flushing, NY with locations around the country. Travers competes with large industrial distributions like MSC Direct and Grainger. To remain competitive, the company wanted to add tool crib solutions to its product solution offering. The CEO at Travers hired B2B Marketing Strategies as a Senior Marketing Consultant to research, recommend and develop researching, developing, and launching an industrial vending machine program to boost sales within strategic accounts.
Approach — As part of the marketing consulting engagement, conducted market research, selected and negotiated with vendors, developed of marketing and sales materials and catalog sheets, and assisted Travers with roll out to the sales force.
